About Us
Kirk Metty leads the team at The Tuscan Group with his wife Kellee, at his side. Combining their specific talents, they bring form and function together to build solid and beautifully designed homes. After a successful corporate career in capital construction on projects ranging in cost from several thousand dollars to over $2 billion, Mr. Metty now focuses his efforts on building and developing in the growing Triangle area of central North Carolina. Leveraging his years of international experience in engineering, design, and construction, his goal is to bring the same rigorous discipline to the homebuilding industry that were the foundations of his success in the highly competitive and regulated pharmaceutical and microelectronic industries. Kellee Metty brings 20 years of experience in design and interiors fabrication to every decision, from exteriors to flooring and cabinetry to paint, working with clients to create their dream.
The Metty family has lived in Italy (twice) and traveled extensively throughout Europe. This international background gives them a unique perspective; one which enhances the homes they build and adds a touch of European elegance. Mr. and Mrs. Metty met in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, while serving as missionaries in schools and child sponsorship programs. They are the parents of four young adults, who have also caught the travel bug and have visited and worked in Eastern Europe, Australia, and Latin America, planning careers that will take them abroad. Their family project is a small orphanage in Bognotte, Haiti.
Why we do our own marketing...
Some have wondered why we don't use a listing agent. We made the decision to begin marketing our own properties during the recession of 2009. With the decline in home prices and the abundance of information on the internet, we realized we could offer our clients more house at a better value by advertising on our own. We can save you thousands by only paying the buying agent's commission.
